Compliance & Key Documents
CDTS North & West helps principal contractors, developers and buyers reduce procurement risk with clear, downloadable compliance documents. This page brings together our CHAS accreditation, insurance details, core policies and RAMS support so your team can complete due diligence quickly and keep projects moving.

CHAS
Accredited
What it delivers: CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) accreditation confirms our health and safety policies and procedures meet nationally recognised benchmarks and comply with key H&S legislation including the Health and Safety at Work Act and CDM Regulations.
Why it matters: CHAS is a member of the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) umbrella, which means our accreditation is recognised across multiple buyer-specific schemes. This simplifies pre-qualification for Tier 1 contractors, local authorities, and house builders, reducing paperwork and accelerating contract awards.

Fully
Insured
What it delivers: CDTS carries comprehensive insurance through AXA, including £5 million public liability, £10 million employers liability, and £350,000 contractors all risks cover. Documentation is available for immediate download to support your tender submissions.
Why it matters: Insurance is a non-negotiable requirement for contractor approval. Our cover levels meet or exceed the thresholds set by most Tier 1 contractors, house builders, and public sector clients. Having current certificates ready to download removes a common bottleneck in the onboarding process.
Policy Number: YB CMC 07831593775 | Insurer: AXA Insurance PLC | Valid until: 21 August 2026
Health, Safety & Management
What it delivers: CDTS operates documented health and safety and environmental management systems covering every aspect of our seeding and erosion control operations. Full RAMS and method statements are prepared for each project, covering hydroseeding, herbicide application, strimming, ground preparation, and working on slopes and near watercourses.
Why it matters: Documented management systems mean your site team receives project-specific RAMS before work begins, not generic templates. Our procedures cover CDM compliance, environmental controls including pollution prevention near watercourses, and safe working on steep slopes and live carriageways. This reduces your risk as principal contractor.
Status: CHAS assessed (SSIP approved) | Policies available: H&S Policy, Environmental Policy, Drug & Alcohol Policy
